The New 2018 Federal Budget

Just last week the Australian Government introduced the new Federal budget. Thenew low-cost reverse mortgage scheme reduces the difficulty of income retirement for property owners.

We interviewed some of the community around the University of New South Wales to see what they had to say about the new Federal budget.

“Sadly, I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to read anything about it. I’ve heard one thing… I think they talk about infrastructure and obviously, I can’t see any problem with that. I believe it’s going to go into roads and transport and whatever. I support that!” Said Peter White.

This new Federal Budget is said to guarantee the essential services which Australia will rely on.

“It seems like were getting text cuts for low income earners which is good!” Said Mathew Hasthorpe, age 22.

“its tax cuts right? For like everyone earing under 200k? that’s the only thing I know and that’s a good thing,”agreed David Wassiff, age 22.

Although some believe that the new federal budget will be a good thing for Australia, not everyone agrees, and some aren’t even sure what it means for them.

“I personally haven’t seen it. I heard that student magazines aren’t actually allowed to see it this year,” said Justin Mckee, 21

“I am actually against taxation cuts, I believe we should be putting money into services such… like education,” said Peter White.
